Fashion for Disney 101: What to Wear at Each Park

Start with your ears. Minnie ears, that is. If you’re like me (and many Disney adults) you don your Minnie ear headbands throughout the parks as a staple of your outfit. I tend to start there and build my outfit around my headband, with the hopes of incorporating something from the park I’m visiting that day (i.e. Star Wars for Hollywood Studios, Princesses for Magic Kingdom) into my ensemble.

If you’re planning on going to all four parks in one trip, my best advice is to overlap portions of your outfit (at least for me, I’m always trying to get away with only bringing one carryon suitcase). Here are some of my ideas for what to wear in each Disney World Park:

Magic Kingdom: “Cinderella theme”

  • H&M baby blue off-the-shoulder tee
  • Silver sparkly ears headband
  • Silver sparkly magic band
  • Gucci belt
  • Sperry brown sandals
  • Aldo crossbody bag

Fun Fact: When I met Cinderella wearing this outfit, she said I looked like her!

Epcot: “Classic Minnie Mouse theme”

  • ASOS black and white polka dot dress
  • Red sparkly ears headband
  • Red magic band
  • Amazon Black crossbody
  • Sperry gold sandals
Getting ready at Pop Century

Hollywood Studios: “Star Wars theme”

  • Baby Yoda tee
  • White shorts
  • Amazon Black crossbody
  • Sperry gold sandals
  • Silver sparkly magic band (and why not throw in the matching ears again?!)

Animal Kingdom

  • Lilly Pulitzer animal print dress and matching bag
  • Sperry brown sandals
  • Silver sparkly magic band

What’s in my Bag?

I try to keep it to the essentials, which for me include:

  1. Cell phone
  2. Cell phone charger
  3. Extra magic band
  4. Bandaids
  5. Lipstick
  6. Compact
  7. Credit cards and cash
  8. Poncho
  9. Snacks
